Bug Shelters

After discussing why we don't always see insects outside in the garden, we learnt that they hide away to be sheltered from other insects and birds.  Mrs Hastings gave us a challenge.

"Your little bug needs a shelter and home....how can you make one?"

We were given:
*1 paper plate
*A lump of playdough

We then went down to the dell and collected materials we could use.  We only collected materials that were fallen on the ground or had already been removed from the gardens.

Here are some photos of us hunting for our materials, making our shelters and our finished creations!  You can click on a photo to enlarge it.
We are now writing about our shelters in class too.
